How does an on-line program work?

  1. This course is composed of 38 Unit/Chapters.  Each unit has four sections: Reading Assignment, Interactive Exercises, Reading Comprehensive Quiz and a Unit Exam.
  2. Each Unit/Chapter has a Reading Assignment.  The course is designed with learning objectives so as the student goes through the unit, the student knows what the objectives are.
  3. Every Reading Comprehension Quiz needs to completed as does each Unit Exam. The student needs to obtain 100% on each Reading Comprehensive quiz and a minimum of 75% on the Unit Exams. This is the most important part of the course, because as the student works through these modules it demonstrates mastery of the course.
  4. A student can move on to the next unit without passing the previous one, but they won't be able to access the final exam until every Unit/Chapter is completed and passed.
  5. The student must complete each quiz to take the proctored end of course exam.
  6. instructions that students view before entering into the course:
The timing functionality for the course does not start until the answers are displayed. Students click to proceed through the course, when they reach a question they can read it as many times as necessary to determine the answer. The next click with then display the possible answers (this is when the timing aspect is started).
  7. When Answering Questions-
There are multiple-choice questions interspersed throughout each lesson. The question will first appear without the answers. To see the answer choices, click anywhere on the display area. Do not click to display answers until you have read the entire question. There is a time limit for answering questions that begins when the answers are displayed. If you click to display the answers prematurely, you will not be able to answer the questions in time to get credit for them. To select an answer, simply move your cursor over the desired answer and click the left mouse button.
  8. The course exam has 150 multiple choice questions and the student needs to score a 75% on the Exam.
  9. Upon completing the On-line portion of the course the student needs to e-mail the instructor at Instructor.  The e-mail need to supply the proctor's name and address so the school can mail the exam to the Proctor. The proctor has to be an individual that is not related or would benefit from the student obtaining a broker's license.
  10. Before a final completion certificate can be mailed to the student and the official notification to the State of Georgia, the final exam, the answer sheet, "Student Affidavit" and the "Proctor Affidavit" must be completed and turned into the school.
  11. What happens if I fail the end-of-course exam?  A student who fails the end-of-course final examination may take only one retake examination.  If the student fails the second examination, the student must repeat the course and pay the full tuition again.

Information the student needs to know before taking this course:

  1. Once the student purchases this course, the student CANNOT get a refund.
  2. The student has 180 days to complete the program.

  5. This course is totally web based.  The course is not downloadable.  The student can work through the course at the student's convenience.
  6. At the time of registration for the On-Line Distance Learning Course, the student will receive an e-mail from Dearborn's RE Campus, verifying the student's registration.
